2016年、2018年、2020年に神戸財団と愛知県立芸術大学の共催により、「セラミックデザイン」をテーマとした新たなコンペティション「CERAMIC LIFE DESIGN AWARD」（以下「CLDA」）を開催いたしました。

「CLDA」は、セラミック（陶磁素材）に特化したデザインコンペティションとして、住空間におけるセラミックの新たな可能性や創造的な発想を全国より広く公募し、その活用および普及の在り方を検討するとともに、陶磁器関連産業の活性化と人材育成への貢献を目的として実施されました。本コンペティションは、2015年からの構想を経て、2016年、2018年、2020年の3回にわたりビエンナーレ形式で開催され、いずれの回も多くの皆様にご参加いただきました。

セラミックの可能性を追求しながら継続してまいりました本コンペティションは、2022年3月31日をもちまして幕を下ろすこととなりました。

The Ceramic Life Design Award (CLDA) was a joint initiative by the Kanbe Foundation and Aichi University of the Arts, focusing on ceramic design.

The award was a design competition aimed at exploring innovative uses of ceramics in residential spaces. It welcomed submissions from across Japan to promote the development and utilization of ceramic materials while supporting talent development and revitalizing the ceramic industry.

Held three times on a biennial basis—in 2016, 2018, and 2020—the CLDA attracted numerous participants each edition. The competition concluded on March 31, 2022, and records of past editions are available on the official website.
